My Approach

It's a big decision choosing a photographer for your wedding day, one of the most important days in your life. You're entrusting everything in your photographer so you need to choose wisely.

Your photographer is your story teller, quietly and unobtrusively working away, documenting the little glances, the drama, the laughter, tears and joy of not only you, the bride and groom, but your guests too. They are just as important to the wedding day - what would a wedding be without the special people you've invited to share your big day? Beautiful, emotive moments captured right there. Unstaged, natural photographs. This is what I do best.

I would describe my style of photography as reportage. Perhaps it's my press photography background, but, to me, this is the style which will tell the true story of your day. Okay, maybe your group shots are going to be staged  (if you're having them) and there will certainly be some direction with the bride and groom shots (although I'll direct you towards looking as natural as possible!) but for the rest of the day I'll be observing and snapping away and capturing the action as it unfolds. This isn't to say that there won't be any posed shots - many people want me to grab a photo of them and I'm more than willing to accommodate! My other priority is to seek out the most fabulous light and the most amazing locations I can find on site for the bride and groom shots. Fabulous light and location means fabulous photos!

Please note I am only currently taking bookings up to, and including, July 2023.
